But, but, but... Pat Leahy deserved it!

Who'd a thunk it? Chevy Chase dropped the f-bomb while talking about Bush at a People for the American Way event at the Kennedy Center last week and now Fox's own paragon of virtue, Bill O'Reilly, has shocked everyone by getting bent out of shape about it.

But here's the funny part:

FOX News host Bill O'Reilly asserted on the December 16 O'Reilly Factor that "you don't see this kind of thing on the right." He added: "You don't see prominent conservatives cursing out Democratic members of Congress, for example."

No, that never happens.

On Tuesday, Cheney, serving in his role as president of the Senate, appeared in the chamber for a photo session. A chance meeting with Sen. Patrick J. Leahy (Vt.), the ranking Democrat on the Judiciary Committee, became an argument about Cheney's ties to Halliburton Co., an international energy services corporation, and President Bush's judicial nominees. The exchange ended when Cheney offered some crass advice.

"Fuck yourself," said the man who is a heartbeat from the presidency.
