Well, I'm back. Yesterday morning, G-Dog and I drove up to the Cumberland Plateau with some friends and spent the night at the Grey Gables B&B in Rugby, TN. This was a return trip for us, about a year from the date of our first visit and the food was, once again, sinfully delicious (our stay included a wonderful dinner last night and then a huge breakfast this morning). We toured the restored victorian village in Rugby last year, so this time we decided to go further afield. We explored the Muddy Pond Mennonite Community yesterday and hiked in Big South Fork Park today. And then on our way out of town this afternoon (it snowed!), we returned to the Highland Manor Winery. We toured the winery last year, but today we only had time for some wine tasting and shopping.
This photo shows some Mennonite girls playing on a swing. The rope was strung incredibly high in the tree, so one push of the swing carried this little girl quite some distance from her starting position next to her playmates. Because of the angle of the hill, she was also pretty high up off the ground when the swing reached its full amplitude.
