The hermit crab brings back painful memories. In a most literal sense.
There's a story in there?
It's the story of a crab who just couldn't let go, and the deep purple thumb to whom he was attached.
I have 7 crabs now (I think; one is hiding) and they have been wonderful pets.
P.S. Hermit crabs are social and should not be kept alone. Go to the pet store and get him some friends!
