Town and Country

The Town and Country Restaurant came down this past week and now the way is cleared for the new Walgreens that will go in its place.

Sigh.

It really sucks that it came down, even though their food sucked. Very sad.

Yes it's sad even though I ate there only a few times. It seems their patronage was mainly older folks. All I can really remember about the place was the organ was played so loud you couldn't have a decent conversation.

Thank God you will have another Walgreen's! You can't have too many mega corp clones around. I mean, in Denver you could literally see 2 Starbucks on opposite corners downtown a few years ago.

Yuck!

I'm going to take pictures of as many actually unique businesses as I can, and cherish the sweet memory of such when i'm older, and the only name in town for ANYTHING is Wal-Mart Exxon Mobil.

Thats so sad. As a kid I always enjoyed going over Market Street Bridge just to see the sign with the moving horse. Yeah, the food sucked, but its a landmark.
