Bush's Best Moment?

Bush was asked by a German reporter to identify his best moment since he took over the White House in 2001. His response?

I would say the best moment of all was when I caught a 7.5 pound (3.402 kilos) perch in my lake.

I'm stunned. He's made no mistakes, and now the best moment he's had in over 5 years of living in the White House, meeting with great leaders and extraordinary people, and enjoying opportunities to travel around the world, was went he caught a fish.

UPDATE 1: I'm not the only one who is astonished. Someone was even inspired to write a haiku:

Fishing For Accomplishments
By Madeleine Begun Kane

Dub's best time as Prez?
Catching a big fish, he says.
Perch. Not bin Laden.

UPDATE 2: Well, it turns out the catching of the fish thing didn't even really happen. Sheesh.

UPDATE 3: Then again, maybe not.

What's so sad is that real Texans are embarrassed when they catch a perch, no matter the size. It should have been a bass (and probably was). Even his best moment is a joke.

That recalls the old fisherman's creed: A bad day fishing is better than a good day at work.

Still, that's rather pathetic - make that astonishing that story tops his fave moment of his presidency. Many other moments of his term are more memorable, but don't know as if I would qualify any of them as good memories!
