In other news, G-Dog and I, all by our badass selves, moved a washing machine, a sofa bed, and a love seat today. It was one of the great feats of strength so far this century. We rock.
According to former White House advisor David Gergen, the defeat of Lieberman makes a Gore 2008 presidential bid all that much more viable.
"The smart money says it may really in the end help Al Gore. ... Al Gore is the one figure who is strong, a heavyweight who came out early against the war in Iraq, has been consistently against it. ... Al Gore is more closely allied with the MoveOn.org groups, the leftist liberal groups. And he's been a bit of a hawk. As you know, he voted for the first Persian Gulf War, so he could have it in both ways, in effect, as a candidate. He just got this popular movie out.
"So I would not be surprised if we hear more from Al Gore and more about Al Gore in the next few weeks." (Anderson Cooper 360, CNN, 8/9)

ouch. My back hurts just reading this post.
Moving a washing machine is impressive! Having two academics/geeks move it (and a sofa bed) is truly worth bragging about. Yes, you rock!
Re Gore: He never appealed to me, but since I am eligable to vote, perhaps I should check him out. OTOH, no matter what I do, Dubya won't get re-elected. ;-)
Uhm, if that last one offends, just remove it. I meant well, but stuff in writing, well, it doesn't always rock.
