Question of the Day

Actually, it was yesterday's question, and it came from Political Wire:
If the war on terror is really a "struggle for civilization" itself, as President Bush claimed last night, why do we have just 130,000 troops in Iraq?

You would think that if America were really engaged in such an epic battle -- "for all the marbles," as one friend paraphrased it -- we would put up a bigger fight.
I can't keep track of these goalposts anymore. We've been doing this because of 9/11, or to get rid of WMDs, then it was for democracy in the Middle East, then it was, well, only a certain kind of democracy in the Middle East, and for a while there it was for the Iraqi people themselves, and so on, ad nauseum -- and now it's a battle for civilization itself.

Does anyone else think that George needs to just shit or get off the pot already?
