Dead at 84. What a huge loss.
"Still and all, why bother? Here's my answer. Many people need desperately to receive this message: I feel and think much as you do, care about many of the things you care about, although most people do not care about them. You are not alone."

I am 49 years old and just read my first Vonnegut book last week.
"Slapstick"
It was wonderful. My older sister recommended it to me calling it probably the funniest book she had ever read.
I intend to read more of his stuff. I was sorry to see that he had passed but I guess the best way to look at it is that he lived a long life full of days.
Darn. At least he got a good, long run. RIP, Kurt.
Vonnegut's two biggest assets, I think, were his empathy, and his wicked sense of sarcastic humor. A person could do worse.
So it goes.
(wonder if that is his epitaph?)
