Well, this is sad news to start out the week. Dan Fogelberg died of cancer yesterday at the age of only 56. His music was an institution in the 80s -- the guys all hated him but the girls all wanted "Longer" played at their weddings...
I dug most of his catalog. (Most, that is, except for "Same Old Lang Syne," which is just spooky, embarrassing, and depressing. I can't believe they play it incessantly during the Christmas season. Analyze those lyrics sometime.)
I can't speak for Buck, but I like Thanksgiving the best. It's a simple holiday that hasn't been coopted by the retail industry, the right wing christians, the jingoists, or any other really annoying group of people.

Damn. I did not know that. And he was so young.
I always loved "Run For The Roses"
I loved everything he did.
The big C yanks another one from among us. And this guy didn't hate him: even if I was going through a "metal" phase, I knew quality when I heard it.
Sad news.
He battled the disease for quite a long time.

Spooky, embarrassing and depressing pretty much sums up Christmas as far as I am concerned Bill.
I don't know what to say, really.
What holidays do you like? :)

El Día de los Muertos is pretty cool too.
Just because it is spooky, embarrassing and depressing doesn't mean I don't like it ;-)
I loved his music.
