The Democrats went after each other in South Carolina last night, in stark contrast to the kissy-face debate in Las Vegas last week. If you missed it, you can still
read the transcript or the
play-by-play. I'm still working on finding a complete video...

I watched the first half (stopping shortly after the transition to chairs). Seemed to me that mostly they covered the same stuff we've heard before, with the exception of Hillary!'s nastiness in the beginning. Throwing out one non-substanitive (and deceptive!) attack after another. I'd love to see her and Sean Hannity do a debate with each other. They're two of a kind, only on opposite ends of the spectrum.
I also found it depressingly amusing that Hillary and Karl Rove like to trumpet the same talking points about Obama.
I think Clinton is willing to say or do anything to win. I'm sure she thinks she must do this because Only I Can Save The Country. Arkansas seems to be a double-donor in that category this year.
I'm convinced we've got to put the Clinton/Rove style politics behind us (90s and 2000s being the worst of it), but something tells me that won't happen until the Baby Boomer generation is largely dead or mentally incapacitated.
I thought Obama had some pretty menacing lines, but his "attack mode" seems largely reactionary against the Clinton Machine.
I'm completely biased against the Clintons though.
