LV Democratic Debate

I just finished watching the debate. I'll keep this quick. I think the candidates all did extremely well. The winners tonight were all the Democrats out here who want to unite to beat the Republicans. I would be thrilled to have Clinton, Edwards or Obama as our nominee. I'm glad NBC kept the debate to just the three serious candidates. I was happy to see Democrats return to (mostly) collegiality. And I think this "billing" is rather silly:
The cable news network and the Democratic party have billed the 6 p.m. debate as a chance for Nevada's minority communities to pose questions to three front-runners - Hillary Rodham Clinton, Barack Obama and John Edwards. Tim Russert and Brian Williams are scheduled to moderate.
If this is a chance for "minority communities" to speak to the candidates, why did they put a couple of white guys in charge?

While the candidates all comported themselves well, I thought the moderators stunk.

I'm surprised on the topic of the credit mess that no one brought up the regulatory changes during the Bill Clinton years that (inevitably, IMHO) allowed Wall Street to get themselves into this shell-game mess. If Hillary is going to run on Bill's record, it seems like a fair question, especially given his habit of having Wall Street insiders run his fiscal policy. This is not meant to excuse either the 90's Congress or the current President's use of Wall Street insiders. Although frankly I think Clinton was "worse" in that regard, as Bush has mainly drawn more from Fortune 500 types.
