Oh, no! Edwards out!

This is terrible.

I really hoped that he would stay in the race for the distance.

And after Billary's performance last night,* there's no point in trying to pretend to be a neutral, loving-all-the-candidates kind of Democrat (and this does make next week's decision much easier a no-brainer), so...

Go, OBAMA!

*Let's use a baseball analogy. Hillary, a baseball player, agreed with the other players to skip a game, and then ran the bases on an empty field and claimed a great victory. It is one of the most pathetic things I've ever seen. And it is just the kind of divisiveness we are trying to get away from in Washington!

Edwards announcement trumps Clinton's Florida "victory" in the news cycle. Coincidence?

I hope this means we can expect an endorsement from Edwards at some point.

Rumors have been swirling that Obama might make Edwards AG -- even before this happened. He'd be great in that role. Trustbuster, Ho!

According to the NYT latest, Edwards will not be endorsing anyone today. But I'd like to hope that he will endorse Obama before Super Tuesday. I'm sure he will probably want to get as much policy leverage out of it as possible first. But I could see him just staying neutral, too.

I wouldn't expect him to endorse today. It's traditional to wait a bit and let the dust settle first.

If he doesn't endorse Obama, his leaving the race will be a gift to Clinton -- I think his voters will drift toward her.

Edwards and Hillary met in secret backstage at the SC debate (pre-SC primary). I wonder what they talked about?

This is making me nervous. I'm probably not alone.

It's also making me very nervous. There's also a rumor that Edwards and Hillary have talked today. But I'm hoping that he was just feeling her out, taking stock of all his options.

There's also that persistent rumor that Obama is looking at Edwards for AG. If it's true, I can't see Edwards supporting Billary.

Further, the relationship that Edwards has with Obama seems genuinely friendly, whereas the Clintons have been quite chilly towards Edwards in the past.

I'm really sad to see him go. Really, really sad. I feel like I'm bad to voting for the lesser of two evils and I was hoping in this election to move away from that.

Yeah, I'm definitely not feeling good about where Edwards could go. I can't imagine him endorsing before Tuesday without a VP spot. And Hillary will promise him anything for his support.

DAMN.

I mean, just DAMN.

Okay, given my track record of choosing losing candidates, I probably should support Hillary so she goes in the tank. :o

Those rumors of him talking to Billary scare me half to death! At least I didn't send him any of my much-needed funds before he dropped out.

GO OBAMA!

I don't think he'd run a VP again. If he did I would be completely shocked.

So are you going to drive Hillary around when she comes to Tennessee??? or you could alway let Ted do it...
