Tom, yes -- that is the Chattanooga National Cemetery. On Saturday night, Emmie (the daughter) and I were on our way out and noticed the beautiful sky. Since the cemetery is just moments from home and has a good-sized hill for observing the surrounding scenery, we spun through to check out the view and both of us took turns with the camera, trying to capture the moment. This, I think, was my best effort.
Thanks for that, Alice. I was curious because many years ago I read a book about the American Civil War (I forget the name or author of the book now) and I remember reading about the Battle of Chattanooga and for some reason it stuck in my mind - perhaps simply because Chattanooga is such a strange name! When I saw your picture I did a quick search and saw there was a National Cemetery there with thousands of interments from the Civil War and from that battle, so became curious!
