Grew up with him...they don't make journalists like him any more!
My family was a huge fan of his which is how I know who Cronkite was even though I didn't watch the news as a kid. Too bad there aren't more of his caliber.
There's nobody even in his league. One thing his death does is accentuate the deterioration of the industry. Oh, how the mighty have fallen.
