Friday Creature

Now, this is a spectacular bird. I got several shots of the wood stork -- here is one in flight (what a sight!), and later in the series, I'll have a few that are variously eating, foraging and then flying again! These are big birds, with a wing span up to five feet wide and sometimes standing over three feet tall!

Welcome to the weekend! This one was a long time coming! I'm looking forward to popping by an auction and attending a performance of Romeo and Juliet this weekend -- oh! and I'll be sitting down to my first ever reality television series, as Jamie Oliver's Food Revolution debuts tonight! All that, and the modulator's ark? Wow! I better get cracking! Have a happy weekend, everyone!
