Wow. The weather lately has been perfect. Warm, sunny days, and cool, crisp nights. I am exhausted. I have, in the past 36 hours, run two miles, worked on all sorts of stuff in the yard, ridden my bike to Chattanooga's Pride, and taken the dog for perambulation around the neighborhood. If I could have squeezed in more, I would have! I love autumn!!
Two things: First, I don't know if there has ever been a voice as pure and silken and perfect as Art Garfunkel's. And second, there are two things I really want right now: to clone this absolutely gorgeous weekend and repeat it 52 more times in the coming year; and to be able to, as Art sings, smooth things over when those around me are overwhelmed with churning seas.
