Now that the festivities are over, I wish the US would remove Christmas day as a federal holiday. a) no mixing religion with gubmint and b) we ain't all Xtians. I think we could extend New Year's Day and make it one of those three-day weekend holidays.
Norway's different: It has declared itself a Christian nation in its own constitution. And, in keeping with the traditions of irony: You never met a more non-religious bunch. ;-)
