Post-holiday letdown? Nah!

We're heading into what's supposed to be the dead zone of the year -- the weeks after the holidays are over and up through the middle of February have somehow earned a reputation for being slow days with nothing to do. Well, if you're staring at that blank calendar and disparing that you'll never, ever have fun again, wipe those tears away! On Thursday, January 21st, local Democrats are getting together for a dinner at the Read House, and here's the invite:
Underwriter table for the Inaugural Dinner at The White House
Cost: $250,000
Seat at the Chattanooga Democratic Dinner at the Read House
Cost: $28.00 *
Being surrounded by friends on Thursday, January 20 , 6:00 P.M.
PRICELESS

*Your check ($28 per person) made to Sandy Lusk by January 17 is your reservation. Please include your request for a chicken, salmon, or vegetarian 3-course dinner. Mail both check and meal request to 212 N. Palisades Drive, Signal Mountain, TN 37377. For further information, contact Pris and Robert Siskin at 629-1681.
For more fun stuff to do on the local political scene, head over to hamdems and check out the calendar. There's lots of stuff coming up -- the mayor's election, the local reorganization, meetings, events... you name it! Heck, the 2005 calendar is still being put together and half the stuff isn't even up there yet, so check back often!
