Billboard Fun

Heh. This is pretty funny. First there was the original billboard, which I think first appeared in Orlando:

Exodus is that control-freakish, supposedly christian group that thinks there is something wrong with gay people and that they need to be (and can be) "fixed." They've caused quite a lot of controversy, not only for their looney (and sometimes hateful) claims, but also because of their questionable methods and lack of credibility. One of the founding partners later left the organization to live in a committed relationship with his boyfriend.

Then justinsomnia brought us this one.

And now daintybastard has given us more (via joe.my.god).

ooooOOOOOOooh. I'm shaking in my boots over that last one.

Nice that they used the Rider-Waite tarot image. (one of my least fav Tarot Devils ever...)

Yes, actually this Exodus billbaord is right down the street from my house close to where the gay district here is. They have apparently rented this billboard for a really long time. It's like a fixture here in our community.

They tried to sue the guy who did the moch-up but lost. He actually had posted it on his blog so watch out Alice ;) The paper here had a whole write up about the ordeal.
