Nafplion (the first capital of modern Greece). I wish I was there, too. This was my second visit (my first was ten years ago), and it was just as gorgeous as ever. I took this picture while making the climb to the Palamidi Fortress.
They're in tough shape. Austerity measures have led to reduced hours at public places (pretty much everything we visited closed by 3 in the afternoon) and ongoing waves of protests in the big cities. It's rough. If they weren't on the Euro, I have no idea what things would cost or what would be happening to their currency...

I haven't actually heard of the place, but I'd still like to visit it.
I would love to spend some more time in Greece. There are so many nooks and crannies to discover!
I'd like to visit there before the Greek economy implodes. :(
Too late, Bob! Unfortunately. :-(
