CARTA Diaries: Getting metaphysical on MARTA

It’s moments like these that make me glad to use public transportation, to walk about the city, to open myself up to those around me. More often than not, these commutes are filled with the best of human kindness and compassion. I’ve had folks direct me when I’m lost; help me when I needed a train ticket to the airport after my debit card got shut down in D.C.; offer me rides to work when they see me at my stop; even invite me to their table and buy me dinner and rounds of drinks in the case of one friendly group in Ogden, Utah.
