Again, who's really running to run things?

Some interesting (scary?) thoughts in today's column from Frank Rich:
It's an urgent matter, because if we've learned anything from the G.O.P. convention and its aftermath, it's that the 2008 edition of John McCain is too weak to serve as America's chief executive. This unmentionable truth, more than race, is now the real elephant in the room of this election.

This is a tragedy. Even now, as I warned someone a week ago, another large entity is asking for a government bailout. We need intelligent "elitism" right now and instead we are going to get Old, Tired and Cranky coupled with Ignorant and Proud. And we will have done it to ourselves. The world will adjust to a USA that can no longer be the "leader of the free world". We will either crash and burn or our power will be taken from us, but a rouge state that willfully elects incompetents will meet with disaster. I'm just frustrated that I'm stuck here with the brainwashed, the braindead, the gullible, and the greedy fools. This is so incredibly unfair to the 49% of voters who know better.
