This is what I love about traveling. Never in all the time I've ever been riding along a road in the United States have I ever had to stop my vehicle because someone was moving his herd across my path. But this very thing has happened to me a number of times in Europe -- most recently during this summer's trip to Greece. The European countryside is so much more organic than America's.
Well, it's a holiday weekend, folks -- at least, it is if you're in the States (if not, find a grill and a cold six-pack somewhere, and you can pretend!). I picked up some Link 41 brats at the Farmer's Market this week, so we'll be grilling sausages and veggies on the 4th. I hope you've got some yummy food and fun planned as well! Have a safe holiday, everyone (and don't forget to check out this week's ark)!!

Odd that one shouldn't experience this in America, but I guess everything's fenced in in the US.
Not only fenced, but curbed and walled and often surrounded by parking lots. With billboards blocking the view. Bleh. It's an exhausting landscape.
Great shot. Happy 4th of July!
